Dua Lipa, aka Dua English singer and songwriter who was born on August 22 1995 in London United Kingdom. The singer-songwriter signed to Warner Bros Records in 2014 after she was a model. She released her self-titled debut album in 2017. The album peaked at third place on the U.K. Albums Chart and was followed by eight singles, including Be The One I.D.G.A.F as well as the U.K. top-ranked single New Rules which peaked at 6th on the charts in the United States. Lipa has been awarded the Brit Awards as a British Female solo artist and British debut act in 2018. The album was certified platinum in the world. Dua Lipa was born at the age of 18 in London by Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa rexha (mother) and Dukagjin Lilipa (father). By virtue of her maternal grandmother, she has Bosnian descent. She can trace her ancestry back to Peja the city of Kosovo. Lipa's grand-fathers were both history professors. Her brother is Gjin Lipa as well as a sister Rina. Lipa was taught to play guitar and sing from her father Oda. Oda is the lead singer/guitarist of Kosovan's band Oda. She was influenced by her father's music, which included his original compositions, as well as songs by artists like David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead Stereophonics Stereophonics. Lipa started singing around the age of five. She attended the Sylvia Young Theater School was where she first began singing when she turned nine.
